ShootOut came out firing on all cylinders, hitting on 7 three pointers in the first half, led by Ivanator’s 4 connections. Things looked grim for Cougars as they fell behind early by double digits with no hope in sight. The Notorious Norvin Reyes would start to light it up and lead his team all the way to a 61-61 tie with about a minute left in the game. After missing shot after shot, ShootOut still believed in Jeff Uncle BENcito. With the game on the line, Uncle Bencito delivered with the game winning 3, sending his team back to 500 for the season. The Player of the game had this to say, “After 48 years, this is the game I still love! Moments like this make me feel young!” VJ Magpali was all over the floor with 28 EFF points. ShootOut impressively had 4 teammates in double digit scoring. Michael Gabriel and Norvin Reyes had another stellar defensive game for Cougars, but they need their leader, Kale Ercia, to be present this season if they want to turn things around.
