Sabers suffered their first loss of the season last week, so they decided to take out their anger on Coastal Reign. Red “Bread” Guntalilib and Jacob “Bam Bam” Ramirez took control of this game early for Sabers with their inside outside attack. Coastal Reign couldn’t find the mark early in the game and were unable to keep pace with their opponents. Nap Varon and Jun Custudio started to heat up in the second half which helped grow the lead to 22. Late three pointers by Jon Damole cut the lead to as low as 12 but Sabers were efficient from the free throw line to secure the win. This performance by Sabers has them established as the favorites going into the playoffs. I thought Coastal Reign had a problem with their offense; but they might have a problem with their defense as well, they have one game more to remedy these problems.
