A pre-game meeting between the two teams commenced at center court with both teams agreeing not to play defense this game. This was a fast-paced game with exhilarating action throughout. Hibachi Arinas was cooking to start the game and was finishing shots with extra teriyaki sauce, but Nap Varon and Jacob Ramirez kept SoCal Sabers’ deficit to only 3 points at the end of the first quarter. This was a game of attrition and SoCal Sabers proved they had the stamina to play at this torrid pace for the whole game as they pulled away in the second half. Sabers looked impressive with 5 guys in double digit scoring and Mark Heat Check Jimenez shooting an efficient 43% from the three-point line. One positive outlook from this game for Pacific Kings was the play of Kiko Rainman Ronquillo, he proved why he is such a dangerous shooter. These two will meet again in the first found playoffs, it will be interesting to see if the game plan is to play at this pace again.
